A great-sounding tomato sauce that I'd like to make to top some of the whole-wheat noodles I have. From foodfit.com

Directions

  1. 1. In a saucepan or stock pot over medium heat, sauté the onion in the oil until golden, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic, tomatoes and simmer 5 minutes. Add the water and simmer another 5 minutes. Add the basil and simmer 1 minute longer.
  2. 2. Place all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until chunky, about 5 seconds. Taste and season with pepper.
