Thanks for sharing! I didn't have fresh basil so I used dried. It turned out good, but next time i'll use the fresh! We served it to 50 people for lunch and they begged for the recipe!

A refreshingly cool side dish on a hot summers day. I served this aside of BBQ chicken, as recommended. I prepared this the night before and used dried basil because I didn't have fresh on hand. I let this marinate overnight then tossed it with some Italian dressing upon serving. Next time, I will make sure I have fresh basil. It was very easy and my family loved it, thank you!

It's amazing how something so simple can be so delicious, but this salad is just that. I made this as written, served it, loved it, and then I added some diced pepper-jack cheese (just to use it up) to the leftovers and we enjoyed that as well. I do think that your ingredients make a difference....I used summer sun-ripened tomatoes, fresh basil, freshly grated Parmesan, sea salt and freshly crushed pepper. We loved this recipe Manda, thanks so much :)

I made this over the holiday weekend and it was very good. I also added some mozzarella cheese and it worked well. Great flavor - I just love anything with fresh basil and tomatoes! Thanks for posting.
