Here's a sauce that will wake up your taste buds.
- 2 lbs plum tomatoes or 2 lbs roma tomatoes
- 3 -4 ounces blended scotch whisky
- 3 -4 cloves garlic, crushed
- salt and pepper
- Chop the tomatoes and place in a saucepan with the other ingredients.
- Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Store refrigerated.
This is a wonderful condiment for meats. It's also great with cream cheese and crackers. I only made a half batch. I've got a couple of cups in the freezer. When I get home grown tomatos later this year, I'll put up several quarts. Miss ya, Miller.
