This is a great all purpose salsa that is wonderful on anything Mexican. My DH found it in the local paper and has been making it ever since.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 lbs tomatillos, husked,cored,and chopped
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped green jalapeno pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1 cup vinegar (5% acidity)
  • 4 tablespoons lime juice


  1. Combine ingredients.
  2. Use as needed.

This is a great flvored Salsa not too hot but still has a bite. I cut the recipe in half and it was just fine, Served it with a Tortilla Chicken Pie, complimented it nicely and had a Jicama salad as a side dish. This salsa would go with with many cusines not just Mexican Thanks Normaone
