Wonderful! Made this for church "fellowship" time and it was totally devoured. I had lots of compliments on how tasty it was, from young and old alike. Really, you can't go wrong with chocolate for breakfast! lol The only changes I made were to use pecans instead of walnuts and to bake for only 40 minutes (even that might have been a couple minutes too long as the bottom was pretty browned). Thanks for the great recipe!

Good, but watch cooking time, I baked for 45 minutes and it was a bit over done. It is very sweet.

Great recipe, this was easy and delicious. I made this for our homestudy catechism night and both the children and adults loved it. I served it slightly warm but it is good cold too. I baked for about 45 minutes but could have taken it out a couple of minutes sooner. I did not add the walnuts because children would be eating this also and you know how children can be about nuts. You could change this recipe up just by changing the nuts and the flavor of the chocolate chips, there are so many flavors to choose from now. Thanks for the great recipe.

Scrumptious without being too rich; that's dangerous because it's tempting to go back for just a little bit more! I baked this in a slightly larger pan (about 11 X 18 in) in around 35 minutes, and it was still of a good thickness, and perfectly baked. I also used regular sized semi-sweet chocolate chips as the little bits aren't available to me here. This is a keeper-thanks for posting!

I found this as I was going to post this recipe. It is fairly close to the recipe I make. It has a very tender crumb and a fantastic taste! This is one of my childrens favorite breakfast treats that I often make when they have friends spend the night.
I highly recommend this recipe.

I made this recipe from Nestle's a few years ago but had forgotten about it. It is a very good snack cake. Glad you posted it & reminded me of it. I will have to make it again soon. Thanks!

This is a filling and yummy cake. I used plain low-fat yoghurt as a substitute for sour cream. It(the cake) tasted very good and the little kids gobbled it down like there was no tomorrow. Will make again!
