Tofu alfredo sauce that taste like classic alfredo sauce.
- 1 (12 ounce) package firm silken tofu
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 1⁄2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons basil
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1⁄4 cup plain soymilk
- Combine ingredients in a blender and blen until desired consistency.
- Warm on top of the stove or in microwave as desired.
This is spectacular! I'm so blown away. I used a light tofu, and still thought it a little thick so I added some broth. Even my red meat butter loving husband liked this a lot too!
First time using tofu, only had extra-firm so the sauce was a bit thick, good flavor though!
I think this healthy alternative would fool just about anyone! I made it with garlic laughing cow cheese instead of pamesan, and added more black pepper to give it a bit of a zip.
