Toffeed Apples

"Adapted from a recipe in 'The Australian Women's Weekly's 50 FAST desserts'. Simple to make - and delicious.Since Australian recipes are considerably less sweet than Australian recipes, American chefs may well want to add more sugar. Judge according to what tastes right for you. In her review, Karen=^..^= says that she used Fuji apples. Excellent choice: they've SO delicious. Granny Smith apples would also work well. I have two other toffeed fruit recipes posted: Recipe #144733, Recipe #153652."

  4. Very tasty & simple to make. I cut my apples into chunks instead of slices. As with Karen, my apples never browned either. Made for Please Review My Recipe

  5. This is incredibly yummy and easy. Believe it or not, I served this over oatmeal and it was delicious. It reminded me of apple pie and I can imagine it would be incredible over ice cream. I threw a few walnuts into the mix at the end just for some added texture and flavor. It was plenty sweet for us; I used Fugi apples and followed the recipe exact. My apples never really browned, but they still came out looking very appetizing. I never would have thought to do anything like this; thanks so much for posting! (made for Zaar Tag)
