As a college student, my friend used to make these in the dorm. Then she used to make them for my kids. Not bad, I say!

I made one of these for my 4 yr old son tonight for dinner. I used a Hebrew National low fat all beef hotdog to help make it a LITTLE healthier (lol). At first he looked at it and said he didn't want that. I talked him into trying it and he ate the whole thing! This is fast and kid friendly.

Wow, I'm another one that this recipe brings back a huge flood of memories for. This is one of the recipes I learned in my very first cooking class way back in 2nd grade or so. It's fun, easy, and turns out really yummy. Perfect for kids, thank you for posting, and thanks for the memories. :)

My DS just 'liked' this not 'loved' it and said don't make this again-"Sorry Mom". My DS loves every ingredient (I even added the ketchup like another poster recommended) though he didn't like his fingers getting greasy from the oleo, nor did he care for cheese. How dare I try to improve on his plain old hotdog! Thank You anyway-I just get tired of the same boring hotdog in a bun-though he doesn't... June 23, 2007
