To Die for Oatmeal Chip Cookies

I am not sure what it is that made these such a hit with my "picky" daughter but she LOVES these cookies. I added butterscotch chips to the recipe and it seemed to add to the already great taste.

  1. Cream sugars and margarine together; add egg.
  2. Dissolve soda in water.
  3. Add to dry ingredients.
  4. Add chips.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls on ungreased sheet.
  7. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.

Just like Tom said! Its a great cookie. thank you so much. My kids ate these faster then I could bake them. Hit my chocolate craving as well!

These have a great texture, crusty on top, crunchy around the edges and soft in the middle. They needed a few extra minutes on an insulated cookie sheet. I had doubts about the sparse amount of flour called for, but the recipe was fine as written. I used all chocolate chips and they're VERY chocolately!
