This has to be the best ever Pot Roast I have ever had!!! Full of Flavor & quick & easy to prepare! Love it!
OMG!!! First off, this was the first pot roast I ever made and, I dug the roast out of the freezer (probably about 6-8 months old and was almost 3 pounds). I improvised on the dry mixes; used two packages of brown gravy, 1 1/2 packages of the Italian salad dressing mix and 1 1/2 package of the ranch mix. I threw in some chopped onion, baby red potatoes and carrots. I also added some red cooking wine to the gravy which turned out awesome. Great meal. This recipe is a keeper.
Entire family loved it... Thanks
Very delicious, tender, and seasoned just perfect. We all enjoyed!!
Not that this recipe needs another review, but here it is. This was my first attempt at making pot roast, and I can now say that I will be making it again! My roast was just under 3 pounds, and the seasoning packages were the small ones, about half the size you listed. Even though the seasoning packets were smaller, I didn't use all of it because it just seemed like to much. I added about 5 potatoes cut into large chunks and a couple of handfuls of baby carrots to the crock pot. I sprinkled some of the remaining seasoning mix on the veggies. I thought the meat came out a little chewy, but this could be the cut I used....at any rate, we loved it!
I made this for a small dinner party and everyone loved it! I used two packets of each (i could only find small packets). And it turned out wonderfully. I screwed up trying to make the gravy, but that would have been wonderful if I would have had a wisk haha.
Like ones before, used only 1/2 of the ranch dressing mix. I tossed in quartered new potatoes, baby carrots and a chopped onion in and it was marvelous! Hubby doesn't even like roast, but he ate this. Sooooo yummy!
Loved this! Very easy to make, and I followed the same advice and only added half packet of the ranch dressing. The combination of the seasoning made really tasty gravy. I served it with boiled potatoes and greens. mmmm
