An interesting drink, found in a collection of Danish recipes online. I've made it with blackberry brandy, and it was quite nice. This is pretty potent, so if you prefer a fruitier taste, you may want to try adding more pineapple juice.
- Place cherry liqueur, pineapple juice and kahlua in a shaker with ice cubes.
- Strain into a glass, serve garnished with maraschino cherry and lemon slice.
I had to use cherry brandy to make this. First taste was a little different, I think it was the brandy that is the dominate flavor here. I had to add 2 more ounces of pineapple to suit my taste. Made for *Potluck Tag* game 2008
Thought this sounded like an interesting combination so gave it a go. All the flavours complement each other well, I was quite surprised, I did add a little extra pineapple juice, just a personal preference. Thanks!
This was really good. I wasn't sure what to expect flavor wise and it was completely different from what I was expecting (I was thinking it would taste like a cherry tootsie pop). I only made a single and poured it into an apertif glass. That was plenty for me! Delicious but potent. I too used cherry brandy and added a bit of cherry juice as well. I could taste the kahlua, but vaguely. The cherry and pineapple flavors were dominate. Thanks for sharing, Nick's Mom
