- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons soft butter
- 1⁄4 cup sherry wine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 ounces melted unsweetened chocolate squares
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- Combine sugar, butter, chocolate and milk.
- Stir until dissolved.
- Boil without stirring for 7 minutes.
- Stir in 1/4 c sherry wine and vanilla.
