If you're looking for a recipe thats quick, easy and very tasty, this is it! Since I had leftover veggies from another day, I sauteed some chopped shallots with the chicken but excluded the carrrots & green onions at the end. I divided the quantities in half but made no changes to the timing when cooking for 2 people. It was perfect! I found the amount of sauce to be good for us but I did thicken it while I was plating the veggies. Thanks for another winner Gerry!
This was absolutely wonderful!!! After reading other reviews I doubled the sauce, as if it was as good as others had said I did not want to wish we had more. It definitely is a yummy sauce and I am sooo glad I did make the extra. I also added some chili flakes right at the end just to give some spice to the sweetness. I did taste it before doing this and it gorgeous without, this was just for our personal taste we like a little spice, when it is a sweet sauce. It is so very quick and easy to make, with such a wonderful end result. This will become one of our favourites, a great post Gerry.
This was excellent. I used a good red wine instead of sherry, and no green onions (didn't have any), otherwise followed recipe as is. The sauce cooked down to a wonderful glaze, and the carrots soaked up the flavor of the sauce and were delicious. Am definitely making this a regular.
This is a VERY good and easy recipe. Didn't make extra sauce and felt the chicken absorbed some of it nicely. Through the veggies in for the last 5 minutes of cooking and they were nice and tender.
Delish! Such an easy meal to prepare, too. The sauce is so flavorful thanks to the honey. The carrots taste wonderful due to being cooked in the sauce. I sliced my chicken up and served it over rice. Yummy!
Great recipe. I didn't have sherry, so I used half white wine and half sake with a pinch of sugar. I doubled the sauce, and added mushrooms as well. The sauce glazed the chicken and made just enough for a bit extra. Super delicious and easy! It's a sweet recipe, so I made a savory/salty side dish of zucchini to go with it. Thanks for sharing Gerry!
Just as you said it would be -quick and easy. I added some black pepper to please our taste buds and liked the counterpoint to the sweetness. Rather than cooking the onions, I snipped them up to decorate the plate. The carrots were WONDERFUL with the sauce/glaze. Definitely a company-worth dish and I considered myself company at my own table.;-) Thanks for sharing your recipe!
Another winner Gerry999. This chicken was so good. I did double the sauce, served it with greens and brown rice and perfect it was. I will be making this again soon. Thanks Gerry
I had the neighbors over and they went wild. This is an excellent dish. We all agreed that the next time I should double the sauce as it was wonderful. I couldn't find liquid honey so I just used regular honey and it worked out just fine. Thanks AGAIN, Gerry 999 You did it again.
I've made this twice. The first time I used red wine instead of sherry; it came out sweet, but very good. Tonight, I made it again with the sherry. After putting the leftovers in the fridge, I used some crusty bread to sop up the sauce still in the skillet. I used baby carrots (probably a dozen or so) and three green onions--I'd use another green onion next time. And with four chicken breasts (the first time I only had three in the package), I think I want a little more sauce next time.
