Easy fish dish with a double dip coating which produces a super crispy fish!
- 1 (6 ounce) tilapia fillets
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1⁄2 cup breadcrumbs (seasoned)
- Pat fish dry then place in beaten egg, then in breadcrumbs, then back in eggs, then back in bread crumbs.
- place in a 450 degree oven for 5 minutes, flip fish over and cook for 5 more minutes.
Wonderful fish! Although I used tilapia fillets (about 1 pound - 4 fillets), I think this would be wonderful using any fish fillets - adjusting the cooking time depending on the thickness of the fish. I used a lower oven temperature (425)than stated, so I could bake potatoes at the same time and cooked the fish for about 15 minutes. Thanks for sharing this keeper which we will be having often!
Used Italian seasoned breadcrumbs for this. It is a great basic recipe that can easily be adapted with different seasonings. I will be making this again and again. Thanks for posting!
