What a great dish. My dh loved it. Reminded him of a dish his mom made. It was quick and easy to make, very easy to vary. I loved all the flavors from the sauce I used. The red onion is a nice addition. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I froze half of this as it makes a lot. It is even better the next day. :)

After the first bite DH said "this is good stuff" :) I loved it because not only did it taste great it was quick and easy to make. Did leave out the mushrooms, I'm not fond of them, and green pepper, DH not fond of them, but added some minced garlic when frying the ground round. Really liked the milder flavor of the red onion, used Prego Robust Roasted Garlic spaghetti sauce, and Italian Blend shredded cheese. This does make a lot so would be great for a larger family, very good leftovers, or frozen for a meal at another time. Thanks so much sweetie for posting this recipe, will make it again! kittycatmom, this was sooo good! We really liked it. It was kind of like grown up macaroni and cheese with spaghetti on top. I used penne (little ones) because that's what I had on hand. It was easy to put together, too. I only used 1 can of Hunt's Garlic & Onion spaghetti sauce. I will be making this again because my little whiner... oops, I mean little girl really liked this and didn't even complain once. Thanks for sharing this. :)

OMG I am so happy I found this recipe. My grandmother used to make this for me as a child. She would make it as spaghetti and then sometimes as a chili bake just adding chili powder, and kidney beans in with the rest of the ingredients. I wasnt exactly sure though what else she did but now that I found this I can enjoy my favorite dish over and over again. Thanks!

This is a great all in one meal that is really filling to boot. It does make alot and so I took the advice of morgainegeiser and used almost two jars of spaghetti sauce. It was perfect. I didn't have any romano cheese and so just upped the amount of parm. Great taste and flavor combinations kittycat. I should mention too that I opted out of the greenpepper, mushroom and onion. This due to families request. Thanks for a great supper for my family of men~ Made for 123Hits.

This was a quite yummy recipe. It also makes a huge amount of spaghetti, my husband asked if we were feeding the neighbors - ha! ha! Only thing I would change the next time around, would be to use more sauce, I think I would two jars instead of the 1 1/2 jars, just felt it needed more sauce.
