I've been eating this for lunch pretty much every day for a YEAR and just realized I haven't reviewed it. It's the perfect lunch for us stay-at-homers who need to watch calories and fat in the daytime while we're creating splashy stuff for the fam at dinner. I like a liberal sprinkling of cayenne in place of the Tabasco, and radishes or cherry tomatoes sometimes appear to vary the mix. Add a packet of soy crackers, a glass of sparkling water, an episode of "Top Chef", and welcome to my world.

What a yummy, easy and healthy side dish or salad! I luved the dilly flavour and the creamyness added by the cottage cheese! Mmmm! I decided to use this as a base for a chickpea, chili, millet pilaf, which was really, really nice! :) The tabasco added a subtle spicyness, which we all enjoyed! THANKS SO MUCH for sharing this lovely recipe with us, appleydapply! Made and reviewed for Everyday Is A Holiday Tag Game Novembre 09.

Why is something so simple sooo good?! I don't know, but it is! I love cottage cheese, cucumbers and fresh dill, so this hit the spot. I used a long English cuke, so I didn't bother to peel or seed it. The colour looked good anyway. I will make this again. Made for Zaar Stars. Thanks! :)

What a great treat! I cut the recipe in half with no problem. Fresh cucumbers and green onions from the farmers market. I used more black pepper than Tabasco and the proportions were right on. This is definately a lovely side salad, expecially for the dieter. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe.

This was a big hit and a new taste at my last BBQ. I made it at the last minute so it would not get soggy. I used a smidge of tobassco and it was yummy!

This is a refreshing and yummy salad! Even my husband, who dislikes cottage cheese, tried it and liked it.

I should have read a few reviews b/f making this salad a few days in advance of eating. It was quite watery but seemed to thicken up a bit upon stirring. I did omit the green onion but did add a sprinkling of lemon-pepper and the dill I used was the dried variety. I"m sure fresh would have been much better. The tabasco added a nice kick. Made for HolidayTag.

What a nice cool salad for those hot summer nights. Mom used to chop cucumber into the cottage cheese, never add any herbs. Your use of dill with the cool cucumber makes this so refreshing. Thanks for the post.

Along the salad line, along the cottage cheese line, along the cucumber line, along the fresh dill line, and along the Tabasco sauce line, this happens to be the cross-section of the intersection where all the planets are in/line. I absolutely adored this, as it holds every single one of most favorite foods of all time. I followed suit and used fresh dill and beautiful fresh green onion. I ate mine right away, so there was no sitting. I also added a bit of Hungarian paprika, just a sprinkle on top. Delish! Made for Everyday is a Holiday Game May 2009
