Very easy and much less expensive than buying a bottle. From hillbillyhousewife.com
Make and share this Thousand Island Dressing (Homemade) recipe from Food.com.
- 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise or 1⁄2 cup salad dressing
- 1⁄2 cup oil
- 1⁄4 cup vinegar
- 1⁄4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 -2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
- Get out a pint size canning jar or clean peanut butter jar, with a good lid. Measure all of the ingredients into the jar. Put the lid on and shake it up until it is all smooth. Store in the fridge, makes about 1-2/3 cup. This is especially good on wedges of iceberg lettuce. It is also nice on submarine sandwiches.
Delicious! I was looking for a thousand island dressing recipe that didn't contain any pickle relish since my boyfriend won't eat it. This tastes great! We used it on burgers. Thanks for posting!
