I just found out today that pickle relish is simply just not the same as finely chopped pickles - I have always thought so given my European background I don't really have a pickle relish culture and have never actually eaten it. Anyway - my husband made me aware of this important fact and I had to improvise as I was in the midst of the dip. I added 1 tbsp of chopped pickles and 1/2 tsp brown sugar to make it sweeter. All in all the dressing turned out great and we like it the way it is, but is is certainly not as sweet as other thousand island dressings we have had, which is actually a bonus. Sorry for being so unprepared for this recipe but at least I learned a new food fact :)

Picked this recipe and made to go on Sue's Rueben Sandwich#34510 and I am glad I did! I cut the recipe in half and added about 1/2 teaspoon of minced onion, salt and pepper. Thank you for a great recipe I could cut in half and use and still have a little left for a salad. Made for Think Pink Cancer Awareness tag 2010.

I liked the taste of this salad dressing. My DH is the Thousand Island Dressing expert in our family and he said that although it was a good tasting dressing, it did not taste like a true Thousand Island Dressing to him. Hence the 3 stars rather than the 4 stars I alone would have given it. He thought the addition of the hard cooked egg took away from the authentic taste.

Put this together yesterday, for devouring today. And boy it was devoured. Served atop ice cold crispy iceberg lettuce, sliced hard-cooked egg, and home made croutons. As other reviewers, loved the addition of worcestershire sauce, I had never added this before either, and that's what was missing! Bravo Deb! Wonderful, wonderful, dressing! Great, great, will be using this often too! Made for *Everyday is a Holiday* January 2010

This was a delicious dressing. Wow...I didn't get to let it sit a long time but it was still wonderful. Even better when it does sit because I tried it the next day. Yummy stuff. I just poured it over a mix of lettuce leaves with a side of some pasta. Thanks for sharing Debbwl. Made as a thanks for your hosting the Holiday Tag '09

Love it! Left out the egg and used Kraft Light Mayo. The worcestershire sauce is what really gives it a good kick, I have always wondered what was missing from my mayo/ketchup/pickle relish combo and now, I KNOW! Mmmmm mmm. Enjoyed for salad dressing for soup and salad lunch! Thanks for posting! I will never run out again! Made for Holiday Tag December 2009!

Simple and delicious. One of my favorite dressing and I like this one for not asking for too many ingredients. Thanks for a tasty dressing.

I opted to use the hard boiled egg, and chopped it into small pieces. I served over a simple iceberg salad wedge and loved it! Thanks Deb! Made for Everyday is a Holiday.
