An Appetizer submission for the Ready Set Cook The regrinding makes them fairly dense.
- 1⁄2 lb lean ground beef
- 1⁄2 small onion
- 1⁄4 teaspoon liquid smoke (mesquite)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1⁄8 cup fine dry breadcrumb
- 8 pieces monterey jack pepper cheese, about the size of dice
- Run everything but the cheeze through a meat grinder fine die together.
- Form mix around the cheeze pieces and sautee.
- Stick with toothpicks for nibbles.
