Rich and creamy. Sooo good on cold winter days. Something different from the usual hot cocoa and kids like it too.
- 1 cup cocoa
- 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar
- 1⁄4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1⁄4 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 3 (12 ounce) cans evaporated milk or 4 1⁄2 cups milk
- Mix together and cook over a double boiler until mixture comes to a boil, mixing well with a wire whisk to get a creamy effect.
- Pour in small cups.
- Serve hot.
This turns out very rich and thick - and soo delicious!! I actually ended up adding some water to my cupful, because I found it a bit difficult to drink. And, as a testimony to just how flavourful this is: it was STILL unbelievably rich! Thank you for sharing!
Very yummy indeed and something a little different. Excellent for anyone battling being underweight. My toddler who is going through a selective eating patch at present loved it and because it is a thickened mix there was less mess as she was licking her lips to catch every drop before it ran down her chin!
