Reminded me of the beef stew that comes out of a can, my DH loved it! My cans of soup were also larger than the ones specified, so I added additional water. I thought it was thick enough without the cornstarch, thanks for super quick meal!

Was a hit in my house, had more peeps to feed so I added more soup, had to use more cream of chicken and tomato soup, the last 30 min. I added tiny pasta.

This was really good. Thick & hardy. I added a few mushrooms and some celery since I had them on hand and thought they would work well with the dish. Cornstarch was not necessary. I'm always looking for good crockpot recipes and I will make this again. Thanks for the great recipe!

This was wonderful. SO thick and hearty, a really filling easy meal. I had 1/2 poundof already browned ground Italian sauage to use, so I subbed that for half the beef. I left out the celery seed (too bitter for me) and used 1 teaspoon of Italian Blend Spice Mix instead. And I tossed in about 1/4 pound of fresh cut green beans. If it were just me mushrooms would have been tossed in too, but I was dining with mushroom haters. The color is beautiful and it was the perfect thickness. With all stews it was tastier the next day. A definite repeat in our house.

We loved this simple stew! And it smells so good coming home after a very stressful day! I made a few changes based on what I had on hand - my soup cans were both bigger than the ones specified, but I also used one celery stalk instead of the celery seeds (out of) and one large sweet potato instead of the regular potatoes -- so good and as the other reviewer said the gravy is a beatiful color! As we like a thinner stew, I also skipped the cornstarch. Thanks for sharing this keeper which we will be having often!

I enjoyed this stew but my husband did not so I compromised and rated with 3 stars. He didn't like the flavour which I guess is from the two soups. My first taste I wasn't so sure about it but then enjoyed it. I think he likes a more typical gravy. I used fresh diced garlic and with the onion, added it to the ground beef that was browning. I also added a bit of pepper. I loved the colour of the gravy. I may modify and try again. Thanks for the recipe.
