EVERYTIME I make this for potluck Sunday it gets super rave reviews! The bowl always gets emptied before anything else. You have a winner here.... thanks for sharing!
Great salad. ... better desert ... switched out sugar for sucrlose ... used fat free cream cheese ... alternated layers with low fat whipped cream in individual glasses ... serve with Verdi Raspberry sparkling wine ... wished we had skipped dinner so we could had room for more!
I normally make a seafoam salad for Thanksgiving, but this year wanted to try something different and this was it. I couldn't find raspberry pie filling, so I used blackberry pie filling. It was good! Really good! So good that this is now THE holiday jello dish for us! The flavors are perfect together - the sweetness is just right - texture spot on - I just can't rave enough! Thank you so much for posting this! I'm making it again for Christmas... and Easter... every third Tuesday... etc.
NICE, NICE! Everytime I see a jello recipe (or eat jello concoctions) I think of my mom who was always making it one way or another! So, I had to try this one, & it was well worth the small effort! I enjoyed the addition of the pie filling & cream cheese, & it all makes a jello dish worth making again! Many thanks for posting the recipe! I used cherry flavored gelatin and cherry pie filling because that's what I had on hand. Delicious!! "A healthier version of cherry cheescake", said one of my family. Even my lactose-intolerant brother took seconds 'cause it tasted so good.
I made this for Christmas dinner and everyone had at least two helpings! As Pam before me, I couldn't find raspberry pie filling, either, so I followed her suggestion and used blackberry pie filling as well. I could only find a 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple and ended up using the whole can rather than just a cup. Topped the whole thing with the cream cheese mixture and a bunch of fresh raspberries and blackberries. It was fabulous!! Thank you so much for posting this recipe! I will definitely make this one again!
