One word - Excellent. Made both garlic and cinnamon version.

Wonderful breadsticks!! The recipe scales down easily to a quarter batch, or eight giant breadsticks, which is the perfect amount for us. These would go great with anything, but especially with a good marinara sauce for dipping!

These are great my hubby said that the garlic butter variation tastes just like Olive Garden's (his favorite.) I made them half the size suggested and it made enough to feed an army. We are a family of 4 (soon to be 5) and I am going to freeze over half of them. Thanks for the great recipe! It is one to keep and pass on!

Move over Olive Garden breadsticks. These bread sticks are better...I made the full recipe into garlic butter sticks, they took up 3 cookie sheets on parchment. Took 15 minutes in convection oven to bake light brown. They were huge..I think I will make them smaller, just our preference and use more garlic..I used my pizza cutter for cutting the dough worked great.I froze alot of them in ziploc bags with paper toweling so they dont get iced and wet.A method I learned to do with any bread product..I never have to throw bread away from being wet or dried out from freezer.. I loved the soft, fluffy center and nice chewy crust, now this is a breadstick I will make again..Thank U for this wonderful recipe..

I thought this was a good recipe. If only feeding two, this is way too much even halved. Ended up with a bunch leftover. Still very good frozen and eaten later.

These breadsticks are AMAZING!!! I halfed the recipe and i still got 24 sticks out of it. I did half twisted w/an italian cheese blend, garlic salt, and italian seasonings and the other 12 with the sugar/cinnamon recipe. SO, SO GOOD!! I will never need to look for another breadstick recipe again! If you've got the time--please try this recipe! Thanks Ridgely for posting!

Wow!! These breadsticks are absolutely fantastic! I brush them with melted butter and a garlic salt that I buy from the store then I dip them in grated parm. cheese, just the kind you put on spaghetti. I make them with the Baked Ziti - 38669 and it accents the Ziti perfectly. Thank you!

These are the best breadsticks I've ever tasted! I took them to a pizza party and everyone there wanted the recipe. Since then I've had other people that weren't even at the party ask me for the recipe because someone made it for them! Definitely worth making, but 1/2 the recipe is enough for a very full cookie sheet of big, tasty breadsticks.

These were pretty good, I halved the recipe and it made a lot! I thought they tasted alot like Rhodes Frozen Rolls which kind of disappointed me since I have some in my freezer and was going for a more soft thicker breadstick... other than that they were great.

Like other reviewers, I too halved the recipe, and had excellent results going the garlic butter route. I did accidentally add 1/4 cup too much oil (forgot to halve that part) and it still turned out fine. I used about 50-60% white flour and for the rest I used whole wheat. It tasted great, though I'd consider adding just a pinch more salt the next time I use that same combination of flour, as I used garlic powder rather than garlic salt in my butter. I also spread some minced garlic onto the buttered dough before cutting and twisting them up. Delicious! A very lovely side for my soup. Thank you for sharing.

Excellent bread sticks. I made half a recipe and most were gone by the end of the night. DH kept eating them. I served them with Zuppa Toscana Soup (Olive Garden Clone). It made for a great meal on a cold night.

Heaven Sent! Thank you this is amazing! I halved the recipe and made the dough in the bread machine. I slathered them with melted garlic butter and everyone loved them! Tonight I am making the pepperoni and cheese version for my daughters birthday party. I can't wait!!

These are Killer Good!!!! I split the recipe in half so that I don't have too many and put the leftovers in the freezer. They are great with homemade maranara sauce.

This is a fantastic recipe. It really does make big, beautiful and delicious breadsticks. Big is an understatement... these things are huge! I halved the recipe and used the dough cycle of my bread machine. Other than that, followed the recipe exactly! Delicious.

The receipe is terrific. Made them last week when we had the kids over for dinner. They sure didn't last long. This is a keeper!

I love this recipe! I halved the recipe which filled one baking sheet with dough. I cut the breadsticks with a pizza cutter (made about 20-24 breadsticks), topped with 1/2 cup melted butter and a parmesan/garlic/italian seasoning mix. I prepped these the night before for a Bunco party and cooked them 3/4's of the way done then finished cooking them the rest of the way the following day right before the party. This worked great. They cooked up fluffy and with a nice texture. Very yummy!

I really liked this recipe. It made SO many breadsticks that I ran out of pans big enough to put them on! I will halve the recipe next time only for that reason.

I halved this recipe and then added a tablespoon of butter to the rest of the ingredients while mixing. I used the paddle attachment and then the kneader. I then cut them how I wanted, dipped them in butter and rolled them in a mix of parmesan cheese and dried parsley. Very tasty with this version.

Great breadsticks! A big hit at Thanksgiving dinner. I made half with just butter and half with parmesan cheese - dipping one side in the cheese gave it just the right amount of cheese flavor. I look forward to making other variations. Take the warning that these are huge seriously and think about how many baking sheets you have before you mix up the full batch! For those of you who knead by hand, this dough is nice and lively to work with. Thanks for posting!

The words "feeding frenzy" come to mind. I halved the recipe, and they were devoured (by two picky 8-year-olds) within the day. Will absolutely make again.
