" the Recipe" Champagne Punch

"Southerners are great lovers of punches on festive occasions. This recipe is called "The Recipe" because it was popular not only in Charleston but in upstate SC in the "Bible Belt" to disguise the fact that it was "spiked". This is from St. Michael's Church in Charleston, SC. The submitter suggests that you make an ice ring out of ingredients used in the punch, placing pineapple slices and maraschino cherries in the ring as well."
