I have a family of very active children. This is their favorite soup & probably the simplest to make. I always have everything & it became a go to dish on hectic winter nights. Feel free to add your favorite flavors! Green chiles, bacon, garlic, other cheeses, we have tried them all.
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (8 ounce) can boneless chicken
- 1⁄2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- milk, 1 soup can
- salt and pepper, to taste
- Mix together soup & chicken; add cheese & heat until cheese melts. Add milk to desired thickness. Heat thoroughly & serve.
Very good soup, especially after coming in from a cold windy day of deer hunting. I used left over thanksgiving turkey cause that's what was on hand. Made for football pool 2010.
Very easy to throw together in no time at all. I used some chopped up cooked chicken breast instead of the canned, but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. I topped it with some chopped chives. I love that this is so quick and easy!
Delicious!! I didn't know a can of soup could taste so good. The can of boneless chicken that I had was 10 oz., but we liked having the extra meat in the soup. Also, I added a 4 oz. can of drained, diced green chiles and used a cheddar-jack cheese blend. I followed the cooking directions, using the microwave instead of the stove. This made a super quick and very yummy lunch. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe...it is definitely a keeper!! *Made for 2009 Football Pool*
