The Peckham Peach Palouser

"During summer school, our class creates recipes for smoothies. Each recipe is named after our favorite people. Since we also study weather, the drink is also named after a weather event. A palouser is a strong dangerous wind that blows into the Palouse River Valley. It is also known as a Cow-Killer."

ingredients

• 8 ounces plain yogurt
• 1 banana, peeled and chilled (freezer)
• 1 cup apple juice
• 1 cup fresh peach, diced
• 3 strawberries
• ice cube

directions

1. Place a cup of yogurt in a blender or smoothie maker.
2. Add a chilled banana that has been sliced.
3. Add a cup of apple juice.
4. Add a cup of diced peaches.
5. Add 3 strawberries, sliced.
6. Add 4-5 ice cubes.
7. Blend until smooth.

There is a discrepency between the ingredient list and the redipe steps. In the ingredient list, there are no strawberries listed but in the recipe steps,(step #5) it states to add strawberries. I made this without the strawberries. It was ok. I thought the banana overpowered the peaches but maybe I had underripe peaches.
