I had a Painkiller for the first time at a place in Santa Cruz. It was fantastic but I didn't really think I could come close at home. I did with this recipe!! I used Appleton Jamaican Rum in mine a little more than suggested. But I also adjusted the servings to two :-) GREAT Recipe!!

I am a big wimp and made this without the rum and it was yummy! Just what a summer drink should taste like - I'm sure it would be even better with the rum (and on the Island!!!) Thanks for posting!

Yum. Made this for a get together at our house. First good day of sunshine and warmth this year. It made the party! Thanks Deely

A wonerful add to this recipe is in the pantry. Sage. Burnt, it calms my nerve endings. It must be breathed into the body. Perhaps another way to get it in, is via an infusion of it as a tea. Enjoy no more pain. I've been using it for years. namasste~ oceans of light n love and angels 2 u and ur's willeyes

Hi Deely, my DH made this drink but reduced by half and did not use the nutmeg on top, we both gave this two thumbs up, we loved it, thanks for sharing!

Also very good to dip rim in honey & then dip in coconut, pour the drink then sprinkle w/ nutmeg! But either way it's really good.
