  1. At last! Someone who understands that "Bourbon Street Steak" or "Bourbon Street Chicken" gets it's name from Bourbon Street in New Orleans, NOT from whiskey! Most of those other recipes are frauds! This is the real deal!

  2. Now THIS is a marinade! I've never had the Applebee's version and now, I never care if I do because I can make it at home! This had a nice kick to it and made our steaks taste wonderful! I used sirloins and since I forgot to put them in the night before, I halved the water so the marinade was more potent. I soaked them in it for 8 hours and the ends were salty after cooking. It was my own dumb fault but there a word of warning to make sure you use the 4 cups of water to dilute the salt content. And to the person that said these were too spicy: this is a Cajun recipe. If you don't like Cayenne, you probably should avoid Cajun cooking since it is one of the biggest staples of that cuisine. It's supposed to be spicy. I thought they were absolutely perfect and I will be making this again and again. Thanks for posting!

  3. My father and sons favorite steak and even better grilled at home. We used sirloins from a privately owned meat market, marinated overnight, it was the best steaks we have grilled at home ever. TY!

  4. This recipe was excellent but it is still not the recipe of Applebee's Bourbon Street Steak. This recipe was tried on 5-27-16. I have tried 3 different recipes for Applebee's Bourbon Street Steak and nothing comes close yet! I will continue to try to get the recipe right!
