These are wonderful cookies!! I used old fashioned oats instead of the quick oats, and I added 1 cup chopped walnuts instead of the raisins or chocolate chips. I dropped these by TBSP. onto greased cookie sheets, and I'm not sure why, but I got 65 average-size cookies instead of 36. I baked them for 10 mins. and they were perfectly browned. My family devoured these in a hurry. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe...it is definitely a keeper!! *Made for Fall 2009 PAC*

Excellent cookies! I wasn't sure that I would like the coconut but even the coconut haters in the family loved these. Thanks for posting this recipe! Made for PAC Spring 2009.

This is a great cookie recipe. I don't even like coconut and i like these cookies. I took them to work and they were gobbled up. I followed the ingredients per recipe. I did not add chocolate chips because we didn't have any.

These are FANTASTIC cookies. mmmmmmmmm Gabby Abby is fixing the recipe with the time to cook them and at what temp. It is 350 degrees for 10 minutes. They did indeed bake into a rich carmel color, but I had to bake them for 13 minutes. They spread into HUGE cookies, and are the best oatmeal cookie recipe I have ever had! FAIR WARNING.....my beaters broke while making this recipe! LOL It is a thick and heavy dough once you add in the flour, so be careful with what you use. Thanks Gabby! These are the bomb!
