I have looked for this recipe for 20 years. I had them at a party and never got the recipe. The woman that served them looked at me like I was crazy when I recently asked for the recipe. Very good by themselves or with dip.
- Preheat oven to 250°F.
- Arrange crackers in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
- Top each cracker with 1/3 slice bacon.
- Sprinkle desired amount of brown sugar over all.
- Bake 1 hour in the preheated oven or until browned and crisp.
- Serve warm.
I made about a 1/4 of the recipe to try it out. I like bacon, I like brown sugar and I like buttery crackers and they weren't hard to make. The bacon cooks, the brown sugar melts and melds it all together. I liked it, but it wasn't something I'd make all the time. It would definately be a different appetizer for a party.
