Excellent. If you enjoy a chunkier dressing, this one is for you! This version is very different from others I have made in the past. I loved the eggs & the olives in this especially. I already have a favorite version of Thousand Island that I also found here on Zaar, but this unique version is every bit as delicious. It is slightly sweet and has an excellent flavor.
This is the real deal. I discovered the recipe years ago after trip to the Thousand Island Inn in Clayton, NY. I love Thousand Island, and I haven't bought a jar of the store junk in years. Great on salads and sandwiches. Very easy to adjust to taste. Try it-you won't regret!
This is an absolutely wonderful thousand island dressing. I just put everything in my food processor and processed it for about a minute and got a great textured dressing. The flavor combination is right on. The only thing I did different was to half the recipe using only 1 egg and added a couple of drops of red food coloring to inhance the color a bit. I used this for looneytunesfan's In-N-Out Double Double TSR Version of In-N-Out Double Double by Todd Wilbur. Thanks Kree
Two "yums" up!
An EXCELLENT recipe. I made 1/2 recipe with Hellmans mayonnaise
Wonderful stuff!! Very flavorful, lots of texture and color. A perfect compliment to garden leaf lettuce and fresh cukes. It's nice to know that this is THE original Thousand Island dressing from the Thousand Island District!! =)Kree, Thanks for researching and posting this keeper!
