"This is great as a breakfast with milk or as a snack with fruit and yoghurt. You can add different dried fruits for a change or as a special treat use yoghurt raisins and Macadamia nuts"

directions

  • Mix everything (except raisins) together very well in a large mixing bowl. I use a spatula as this mixture just sticks to your hands.
  • Spread this mixture on two baking trays and bake at gas mark 3 / 170c for 40-60mins. Turn the mixture over half way baking to make sure that it is evenly golden and no one part gets to much of a toasting.
  • Once baked allow to cool and mix together with the Raisins. Store in a airtight container.

  1. Tasty granola! I used macadamia nuts in place of almonds and left out the raisins so that a choice of dried fruit could be added per individual serving. We found the granola itself a bit drier than we're used to, which is probably the use of apple juice in place of oil. Loved the toasted macadamias though! Also, I had to turn my oven down to 130 as within five minutes of putting the granola in at 170, pieces of oat were starting to burn. Thanks Pink Penguin! Made for PAC Fall 2009.
