The Decatur Gator

"This is my version of a VERY popular specialty drink I made at two different places in New Orleans. Both drinks were made in restaurants on Decatur St. This is my version. Very refreshing, and not as sweet as it sounds."

  1. It was delicious but a bit too sweet for my taste. Maybe I would reduce the amount of Malibu to 1 ounce. Thanks Angela :) Made for beverage tag.

  2. Sorry Angela, I didn't really love this, it was nice but didn't taste as I thought it would. For me I think equal amounts of midori & malibu as well as pineapple & orange juice would be better. It was fruity but had a strange aftertaste on the palette. Great to try though so thanks for posting!

  3. The perfect refresher for a summer's day! Just the right balance of fruit juices with the coconut rum and melon. I can see this may easily become a favorite : ) Thanks so much Angela Dawn!
