The taste of this is really good so I'm giving it 5 stars. The rest of the story... well... Candy (that's me) shouldn't be allowed to cook, much less try to adapt recipes. I chose to make this for the ZWT4 Canadian Crockpot. What? You say it doesn't mention a crockpot in the recipe? Oh! Perfect, you get extra points for adapting one for the crockpot. Heh. Yeah. So, my idea of throw it all in there and see what happens didn't turn out so well because it didn't really make a sauce. (Note: I also left out the red peppers and celery because we were out of celery and I don't like peppers). So, I get the bright idea to take the chicken out and cut it up and then put some corn starch into it to thicken it like a sauce. So, we ended up with chicken a la glue. We had yummy turkey sandwiches for dinner instead. *laugh* Having said all of that, we did taste it a bit before we ruined (we being me, Candy) and it was VERY good. Just, uh... don't try to use it in the crockpot.
This is my kind of dinner, easy and yummy. I did trim it by using skim milk and fat free evaporated and softening the onion and celery in water instead of oil. I'm so used to the low fat way of like that I I don't feel that I'm missing a thing and I didn't because this is delish. The recipe works beautifully. I didn't feel like making rice so I just split a big roll and put the chicken on that. After the pic was taken DH and I shared it. We both gave it 5 stars. Made for ZWT4
*Reviewed for Zaar World Tour 3* Loved this chicken dish-it was so easy and tasted delish. I cooked the meal a night in advance and reheated as suggested. I thought the chicken thickened with refrigeration so added some extra stock to reheat- perfect. Thanks for a great recipe. Photo also being posted
This was a wonderful receipe and very tasty! I used heavy cream and real butter! YUMMY! I may add another tbsp of Sherry the next time I make to add to the depth and richness. Thanks for a great recipe!
ok im a lazy cook, i added bell pepper with the chicken and didnt add rosemary , due to an unfortunate rosemary tuna casserole incident in my past and not as much parsley
