Reviews

  1. I omitted the sugar, used fresh strawberries and made this. Love it! Thank You!

  2. Substitute honey for the sugar makes a great healthy smoothie! :)

  3. You really shouldn't use sugar. That takes what would be an otherwise very healthy smoothie and turns it quite unhealthy. If you want to add a bit of sweetness, use agave nectar or honey instead. Either one of those would be MUCH healthier than sugar. I make this smoothie all the time (minus the sugar) for both my husband and I and we love it. It's a great post workout smoothie and makes for a very healthy snack.

  4. My 20 year old son made this for me after my chemo treatment for a refreshing treat. He added 1 cup mango and 1/4 cup more of milk but did not add more sugar. It was perfect! Refreshing and sweet and did not make me nauseas!! Thank you!

  5. We loved it!! We ended up making like three batches of it! We didn't like the banana though so we left it out and it tastes fine. This shake is great but you can also change it and add other things. I loved how it took so few ingredients! Thanks!

Tweaks

  1. I doubled the recipe to make a blender full. I substituted the milk with 1 3/4 cup of strawberry yogurt and 1/4 milk and 1/4 cup pure cane sugar. I used 6 ice cubes to prevent the recipe from being watered down. I gradually added milk to help the blender liquidfy.

  2. This is a great recipe. Instead of sugar, I used honey. It works great before you work out! Nice boost of healthy energy!
