My grandma and I make this all the time on hot days.
- 2 cups of big strawberries
- 1 cup peach
- 1⁄2 banana
- 2 cups crushed ice
- 2 -4 cups sugar
- 2 cups warm water
- Put all in a blender and blend until it sounds smooth.
- Pour into cups and Enjoy!
2 to 4 cups of sugar no no no that's crazy... Diabetics beware don't try this recipe
This was positively delightful. I tasted mostly strawberries, and there was a hint of peaches. But I didn't detect any banana taste at all (which is not a problem for me, since I'm not much of a fan of bananas). But if you want a stronger banana taste, you might want to increase the amount of fresh banana you add. Thank you for sharing your recipe, jailene2001. Made for Spring 2012 Pick-A-Chef.
Made this as a mid morning pick-me-up. It was wonderfully refreshing! I omitted the sugar as I am trying to reduce the amount of refined sugar in my diet...and I felt the fruit was sweet enough. With the weather warming up, I will be adding this to my rotation of smoothies. Made and reviewed for Spring PAC 2012.
