The Best Potato Chip Cookies

"I got this recipe from my very first cook book! When I first came across this recipe i thought potato chips in cookies?! But I tried it and fell in love with it. These cookies are So FAST, and EASY to make. They have a good taste, and come out crisp on the edges and slightly chewy in the center. You can sprinkle them with sugar or sprinkles before baking. This recipe can also be slit in half, or doubled. I love these cookies and hope you love them too!!!:) :)"

ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 1⁄2 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup crushed potato chips
• 1 cup all-purpose flour

directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla together, blend well.Add chips, and stir in flour.
3. Form small bals from the mixture and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.Press balls flat with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in sugar.
4. Bake 10-13 min., or until lightly browned.

I just want to say have been looking for the exact or close to the Potato Chip cookie my Grams made, in the years it had been lost in the shuffle and she never wrote recipes down but I remember simple and I have made some others but they have more ingredients then I remember, they were good but just not the same. My Grams was simple and not vanilla I believe so I tried again this year and Bingo(she loved Bingo also LOL) your recipe pops up and the first one and it is a keeper, read the ingredients and I have not made yet but starting right now. Trust me you got my 5 stars because it is right on by the ingredients just was never positive on the measures. I will tell you this if I am wrong I will fix my rating but I have faith and I know you bought me back my Grams cookie, thanks a Bunch!!!!
