    Chef #212718's Note:

I found this recipe from I have tried different oatmeal cake recipes and this is by far the best one. I make one for my dad every year for his b-day and he just loves it and can never stop talking bout how good and moist it is.

I made my second attempt at baking this cake today and it turned out really good. I made one yesterday and accidentally left out the flour. Yeah I know... you're asking "How do you leave the FLOUR out of a cake?" Well I was baking the cake, making a pot of chili AND decorating a Halloween pumpkin for a contest at work all at the same time. So I ended up with a sticky, gooey but yummy pan of stuff. I put it in a container and stuck it in the freezer. I'm thinking maybe... served warmed over ice cream. The cake (made WITH flour)is great too. I'm planning on having a piece with my coffee for breakfast in the morning!
