  • Cut ribs apart, if necessary and trim; sprinkle 1 teaspoon salt evenly over ribs, and set aside.
  • In a medium to large bowl, stir together remaining 1 teaspoon salt, and remaining ingredients until blended.
  • Pour half of mixture into a 5-quart slow cooker. Place ribs in slow cooker and pour remaining mixture over ribs.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH 6 to 7 hours.

  2. I think these WERE the best crock pot ribs. I used the left-over for shredded pork sandwiches. Thank you for the recipe. So yummy!
     
  3. I had just under 4.5lbs of ribs, made the recipe exact except that I didn't have apple butter - I had apple jelly, so I used that - I figured it would give it a thicker sauce. Not so. The sauce was very soupy, and the ribs pretty much boiled in it. I think I'd just use a bottle of bbq sauce next time - less time and less money. Parts of the ribs were dry.

  5. The flavor of this ribs was FANTASTIC! They don't taste like a traditional BBQ rib but the sauce is great over cooked rice. A true keeper.
