Super moist and not really gritty. The pastry flour and oil gave it a cake-like texture, and very light. Even my husband, who isn't a cornbread fan, has eaten multiple slices. I didn't have the whole wheat party flour, so I used regular pastry flour. Awesome recipe!

Excellent! I'm usually not a fan of cornbread, but I think I finally found the recipe that changed my mind. This cornbread is not "gritty", almost has a cake texture to it. My children do not normally eat cornbread, but they were asking for seconds on this one!

This is very good! My gold standard is Marie Calender's cornbread, which I've never been able to duplicate. This is the best one I"ve made at home. The only changes I would make are a smidgen more salt, a little more sugar and to bake it in one pan so that it is thicker. Very good and worth making!

This is a great cornbread recipe! I used 2 whole eggs and 2 egg whites, and subbed light sour cream in order to lighten this recipe. It turned out really yummy! Thanks for posting a great recipe. This is a real keeper.

Really liked the texture and what the whole wheat pastry flour lends to this. You definitely will want to put honey on this cornbread though, since it is not sweet at all.

Although the cornbread came out very soft and baked perfectly, I didn't care for the wheat in the recipe. I will make it again using green chilies, and white flour and see what happens! Thanks!

This cornbread turned out very nicely - it was really moist. However, it was a lot more work than my usual recipe, so I probably won't try it again.

This was Amazing Cornbread! It really turned out better then I was even hoping. My husband LOVED it and normally he does not really like cornbread. I did not have any whole wheat flour so I used regular but I will definately try that next time. Thanks for the Great Recipe!

The texture is quite nice and moist. As a personal preference, I would rather have a bit more "corn-iness" in my cornbread. Overall it is good recipe. The only substitute I made was to change 2/3 cup of flour to whole wheat.

I used white flour and added minced jalapeno peppers. Recipe was followed except for my 2 changes, bread was ok.
