They came out dry. VERY dry
Simple to make and absolutely Delicious! I was so excited to try this recipe for a family dinner. They were so yummy, and disappeared quickly.
Best brownies ever, and very easy to make. Each time it gives you the same delicious taste. I reduced the sugar to 3/4cup and added chocolate chips .Frosted it with butter cocoa and icing sugar mixture. (And of course take them out when not fully cooked)
We didn't like these. They had very little chocolate flavor. I also think they would have been much better with butter instead of oil. I made 4 different brownie recipes last night to find the best brownie recipe and these were the least favorite for everyone. Luckily we tried them first because otherwise we wouldn't taste any chocolate after the richness of all the others. 2 came in tie for all of us. One of the winners was on this site and called "Whatever Floats Your Boat" brownies.
Great texture for cakey brownies, but too thin and too sweet although I used unsweetened cocoa powder.
Great recipe, thanks. I reduced the oil half, also i make these vegan by subbing eggs with 2tbls ground flax seed and 4oz water. Taste just like regular
They are awesome! I prefer brownies with oil because they are more fudgy. I would give this recipe an A
Love this recipe! I too exchanged butter for the oil as all I had was olive. Really nice chocolate flavor, chewy.....everything you promised! Thanks for posting this recipe!
I made these brownies and we LOVED them. I also made them gluten free for my daughter by substituting flour with gluten free oatmeal that I put in the blender. I had to bake them a little longer, but they were great that way, too! Thanks so much.
I usually go to foodnetwork.com to get my baking recipes, but the past few brownie recipes I've gotten were disappointing. However, these were FABULOUS. In my oven, they took a few minutes longer to cook. They didn't give that nice shiny top texture, but they were delicious and moist. I'm really happy that they didn't use butter, either. My boyfriend's roommate tends to use all of the butter before I ever get to bake.
I used 1/3 cup of oil in instead of the 1/2. Also, I will probably cut down on the salt last time (I used Kosher and they were a little salty). DEFINITELY will make again. Goodbye box brownies.
