These really might be the best brownies! They are really good and the perfect mixture between cake and cookie. Just one thing: I knew when measuring that half a cup is way too much oil. I used one fourth cup and they came out fine. And of course, you can substitute actual melted chocolate for the cocoa powder.

Excellent brownies, I cooked them for my nieces 15th birthday, everyone loved them.
I replaced the oil with butter, and doubled the recipe. Thanks Juanessa.

I followed the recipe except didn't have vanilla extract. Came out great! Gooey & a shiney flaky top. Those who said it was cake like changed the recipe. They are not cake like at all. Just don't over cook! I doubled and baked at 350 the for 30 minutes. So easy my 3 year old mixed everything after I measured it for her. So even without vanilla, they are great. I know the oil seems like a lot, but its needed. They are brownies after all, not supposed to be good for you.

I tweaked this one, naturally....and the whole family loved the results! I reduced the sugar by 1/4 c, subbed ground flax/water for one egg, and used olive oil subbing butter for half of it. They didn't have the flaky shiny top, but they were dense and moist and the perfect combination of fudgey and cakey. Thanks!!!

I love the boxed brownies because they always come out perfect. These tasted just like them! Crispy edges and a yummy gooey center. I baked them for 18 minutes. Next time I will definitely double the recipe because they're gone so fast!

I followed the recipe and added in a few chocolate chips. The brownies cooked up in 20 minutes in my Perfect Brownie Pan, the one with the divider that lifts out. I used recipe 43891 for the Creamy Brownie Frosting.

These are amazing! I made them last night and they're all gone, so I am making them again tonight. Very easy. I made them exactly as you said and they're perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Yum! These really are very tasty brownies. I needed a recipe to try my new Dutch processed cocoa and this recipe fit the bill! The bonus is that I always have all these ingredients on hand! I did need to cook a bit longer, but then again, I used an 8x8 dish instead. Will definitely make these again!

We have been making these for a while and I just haven't gotten around to writing a review of them. This is the only recipe we make now and we ALWAYS get complimants on them(sometimes they don't even last till we get there). A really great recipe for anyone who likes chocolate.

These were good... I think like others I would reduce the oil a bit. The sugar was perfect for me. I doubled the recipe and baked in a 10x13 for 30 minutes.

These were good brownies, though even baking them for a mere 15 minutes, they still came out rather cake-like for me. The flavor was good, though. Not too sweet and nice and chocolatey.

I made these brownies and we LOVED them. I also made them gluten free for my daughter by substituting flour with gluten free oatmeal that I put in the blender. I had to bake them a little longer, but they were great that way, too! Thanks so much.
