I was caught up in the name for this easy to make one dish meal and had to give it a try! Made as posted using the Classico spaghetti sauce and the bow ties. I too used fresh squash but used frozen spinach - both vegetables we are fond of. Next time and there will be a next time I will add a green pepper that the family like in hamburger stuff. Thank you for sharing a new to us recipe for those busy days - and adding variety to our lunch menu.

My family found this recipe to be rather bland. Next time I will add more garlic, some fresh basil, and omit the ricotta cheese.

Wow! This was incredible!! I couldn't find frozen yellow (crookneck) squash so I just used fresh but it was fine that way. Also, instead of 1 quart of spaghetti sauce, I only used one jar of Classico sauce & 1 can of diced italian-style tomatoes which just added some extra flavor. Soooo good! My kids ate it up & I like that they got in some very important veggies through this recipe. Oh, my DH is not crazy about Ricotta cheese so I used a lot less than the recipe called for but it added a very nice richness! Thank you for this recipe & I will make this often!
