This is more delicious than Thanksgiving dinner itself, and it's certainly a lot more nutritious :)


  1. Toast bread, if desired; spread both slices with mayonnaise (I also like to put some sweet mustard on it).
  2. Layer turkey, cranberry sauce, cheese, and lettuce on one slice of bread and top with second slice.

this IS really good - i don't put the cheese on, though - and i shred the lettuce if you don't have cranberry sauce, you can use a good jam or jelly, too - like tiptree morello cherry... and you can use chicken all through the year instead of turkey -

This is absolutely the way that I make my leftover turkey sandwiches, not an ingredient changed! (Right down to the touch of mustard...) I think it's the perfect combination of flavors, too. My co-worker Amy puts thin slices of Granny Smith apple on hers but her cranberry sauce tends to be a bit sweeter. I like the tarter cranberry sauce without the apple.
