Good god this was salty. Soy, oyster And fish sauce is like a sodium bomb. Use at least half of them and get the same result.
this recipe tastes just like my local Thai restaurant's! I have never used fish sauce before and I was super nervous but it all came together nicely!!
Tried to cook this and it was perfect! :)
This taste exactly like the basil fried rice at our local Thai restaurant. I added shrimp instead of chicken it was excellent.
I change it some,,, more meat, add some veggies, more sauce, perhaps less spicy,,,, but this recipe is the point I start from
This is a very attractive dish! I halved the recipe, and then halved the fish sauce again...increased the soy a bit to make up for it. I also used chopped up chicken thighs since I had those on hand. I used 1 whole egg instead of egg substitute. Really enjoyed the cilantro garnish in this. Thanks for sharing! Made for Spring PAC 2013
Much like a real Thai fried rice; we really enjoyed this. I halved the fish sauce (which was still more than plenty for us), used peanut oil to fry everything in, and edamame for the protein. Very tasty.
The worst most saltiest crap I've tasted.. I don't understand how anyone liked this.. I just wasted food today trying this recipe.. Rubbish, I don't know what these other reviewers are on about
A-MA-ZING! this is EXACTLY what we were looking for in a thai fried rice dish. thank you so much for sharing!!! oh, and we used beef rather than shrimp.
I grew Thai basil and Thai chilies in my garden specifically for the purpose of making this dish. It could not have been simpler or tasted better! It's like a flavor explosion.
