Registered just to comment on this recipe. I've been craving this dish for a few days and finally tracked down a store near by that sells Thai Basil and Thai Chili Peppers. I've made this twice so far, the first time following the recipe exactly and it came out really good, though a tad salty for me. The second time I added 1 tablespoon of sugar rather than 1/2 a tablespoon and that made it perfect for me. Thanks for the recipe!
its a shame this recipe has only 2 review , i was looking for a good recipe like this for a long time and its exacly what i wanned ,thanks alot
I used thai basil and thai chilies. Thanks for sharing it came out delicious.
Lawd this was good! I loooove Thai foods so I've finally given up and decided to move to Thailand, I'm not kidding. On my honor.
Don't normally write comments but had to register just to leave my thoughts on this dish. I crave this now and then and have to drive across town to my fav Thai restuarant but not anymore!!! I made this recipe exactly as written and I was floored how well it came out. Garnished with my homemade Thai fish sauce and some ground chili pepper and OMG. Wouldn't change a thing. Easy too. Can't thank you enough!
Absolutely delicious. Better than the local Thai restaurant. My modifications: I just used regular basil and Serrano chili peppers. I omitted the oyster sauce but added 1 Tbsp gluten free soy sauce. I also added 1 tsp ginger, which was very nice. And finally, I added an extra 1/2 cup of basil just before it was done, as it didn't look like quite enough for my tastes. This is going to become a regular at my house now! This is going to become a regular
Great recipe, just like at the resturant. One thing, this HAS to be made with thai basil, italian basil does not even closely resemble thai. Also, watch the fish sauce, will make it very salty
