Thai Pork Chops and Sesame Noodles

This is a fantastic dish and is on the table in no time. Prep time does not include time to marinate pork.

  1. In small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, salt and pepper.
  2. Place in plastic bag and add pork.
  3. Seal and turn to coat.
  4. Chill for 1 hour, or up to overnight.
  5. Cook noodles according to package directions.
  6. Drain well and toss with onions, sesame oil, salt and pepper flakes.
  7. Meanwhile, heat skillet over medium high heat, add peanut oil, snow peas and carrots, cook, tossing frequently, about 5 minutes until crisp tender and set aside.
  8. Add one more tablespoon oil and sear pork chops, about 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until done.
  9. Add vegetables back to pot and toss to coat.
  10. Serve over noodles.

I was a hit at my party. They thought I really did something. The suggestion that I used from the reviews was add diced ginger in the marinade. I marinated for 6 hours, pan seared the chops, and then baked them until done. Delicious.

I too added a little fresh ginger to the marinade. The flavors in this dish were very interesting. We loved them! A little salt, sweentess and savory flavors made for a really delicious dinner for us! Made as listed, this one is terrific! We opted to use the Asian rice noodles for this one. Delicious! Oops... Almost forgot... I marinated for about 6 hours and they were REALLY tasty!

This recipe was both very quick to make (after marinating) and very tasty. I made the pasta and marinade on Sunday when I had time, and finished cooking and assembly on Monday night. I added approximatley 1 tsp. of grated ginger to the marinade for a little kick. We had enough for leftovers on Tuesday night and my lunch on Wednesday! I may scale this down, but I'll be making it again. Thanks for posting!
