I have never made this but I have heard toasting rice makes a more nutty flavor.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Spread rice in a shallow pan with sides.
- Bake in oven stirring often until rice becomes golden colored.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place rice in a casserole dish.
- Add salt and water.
- Cover dish.
- Cook 30 minutes in oven.
- Serve with butter.
