"My mom used to make this for pot luck lunches up at our cabin during the summers. It's nice and chocolatey. You can make it with or without the nuts. (I prefer without)"

  • For the cake:.
  • Combine the water, cocoa powder and butter in a glass bowl, microwave on high for 3 minutes.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour onto a cookie sheet and bake for 18 minutes in a 350 degree farenheit oven.
  • For the topping:.
  • Microwave the butter, cocoa powder and evaporated milk on high for 3 minutes.
  • Add the sugar and nuts.
  • Mix with a hand mixer until combined well.
  • Pour on the cake while still warm.
