These treats were very tasty! I filled mine with some canned pumpkin and a little honey and cinnamon, and they tasted quite like one of my favorite foods- pumpkin empanadas. Thanks for a delicous recipe!
These remind me of the fruit filled empanadas that are very popular in my part of TX. They mix together quite well with the use of the food processor. I used several fillings: strawberry preserves, Fig Jam and Spicy Tomato Jam. The pastry is nice and flaky. The directions are well written. Thanks for another great recipe. *PAC September 2007*
Thanks for sharing PanNan. My dh enjoyed these little pies very much, they reminded him of cookies that his mom use to make for him when he was a young boy. The pies are easy to make and are very tasty. We filled ours with a thick strawberry jam...Yummy, next time I will make with date jam.
